The Price is Green
We still don’t think it’s the same without Bob but acknowledge credit where credit is due. On Wednesday, Earth Day,The Price Is Right is going green with an array of environmentally friendly products as prizes. Cell phones made from recycled materials, solar charging equipment, and other eco-solutions will be featured. Noted environmentalist and actor Ed Begley Jr. will introduce one of the showcases in the Showcase Showdown that features an electric bike and golf cart plus a Toyota Prius. Any trips offered as prizes will include carbon emissions offsets.
Every day should be Earth Day and anytime is a good time to showcase environmentally friendly products to mass audiences but at least we have a start. In addition to the green focus on The Price is Right, CBS plans to make sure the acknowledgement of Earth Day comes up in episodes of As The World Turns, The Young and the Restless, Guiding Light, and in PSA’s throughout the day.
