Happy 200th, Darwin!

By Dan

You’ve come a long way, baby! And so have we as a species. Because of you, we’re able to understand why we are the way we are. The process and history of evolution and natural selection is a lot clearer because of your extensive research. I am able to type this entry because we have adapted and humans have opposable thumbs. It’s nearly impossible to fathom making it through day to day life without them!

This weekend we are throwing Darwin a birthday party to thank him for all he’s done for science and for humanity as well. You’re invited! No need for presents; just bring your curious brain. We promise it’ll be adaptacular! (and we’ll have cupcakes for the first 400 kids).

10am-4pm. All activities free with paid admission.

So much to celebrate! Not only is today the 200th anniversary of Darwin's birth, it's also the 150th anniversary of the publication of his book, "The Origin of the Species."
